There was an immediate mandatory requirement at Coles for all suppliers with access to Ariba to manage their PR uploads. Suppliers were required to complete PR uploads with full substantiation, obtain Project Manager (PM) approval via email before uploading, and attach both the PM approval and the upload/quote when submitting in Ariba. This ensured that all PRs were properly documented and approved.
A performance review of several suppliers was conducted to check compliance with this requirement. The review found that every supplier assessed, except Landells Signs, failed to meet the mandatory compliance standard. Most suppliers were missing either the PM approval email, the required upload/quote attachments, or both. Some attached only the quote, others only supporting documentation, and in some cases neither was provided.
Landells Signs stood out as the only fully compliant supplier, with every single PR reviewed containing both the upload/quote and the PM approval email, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to compliance across thousands of submissions.
This outcome was not incidental. It was the direct result of Landells’ strategic decision to engage SandS Australia as their operational and compliance partner. SandS Australia guided the team through the new Ariba requirements, designed the correct internal process, and provided hands-on support to ensure every submission met Coles’ mandatory standards from day one.
This is a clear example of the strategic advantage SandS Australia delivers: highly skilled, specialised, and cost-effective support that enables clients to move faster, operate smarter, and outperform competitors in complex, compliance-driven environments. By getting it right early, Landells not only avoided risk and rework but also set the benchmark for the rest of the supplier network, demonstrating how the right advisory partner can translate operational discipline into a genuine competitive edge.
